Meet Dr Anmar Mariud
Dr Anmar Mariud is a dedicated and committed Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who possess highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong rapport with his patients and their families. Dr Mariud is a fellow of the Royal Australian college of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. He has more than 12 years experience in the field.
Dr Mariud received his postgraduate training in Australia, and completed membership training in Queensland where he underwent extensive training in high risk Obstetrics in busy tertiary centres including the Mater Hospital in Brisbane. Then he completed a fellowship training in Laparoscopic and pelvic floor surgery at St Vincent's Hospital. He also undertook further fellowship and training in advanced Gynaecological surgery at the Hunter New England Centre for Gynaecological Cancer in Newcastle. His early years of training as intern and junior doctor were spent at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia.
Dr Mariud has extensive surgical experience in gynaecological and laparoscopic surgery. He has interest in minimally invasive surgery and he is up-to-date with the most modern and currently available minimally invasive treatments for common gynaecological conditions, and can offer women the most suitable options of treatment depending on their individual needs. The range of options includes the latest techniques in endometrial ablation for treatment of heavy periods, the use of the Hysteroscopy in removing fibroids and the use of laparoscopic techniques for simple & complex gynaecological procedures including Hysterectomies.
